In a brief presentation at 12:30 pm on 8 May 2010, MUSC will unveil an Honour Board noting Life and 10-Year Members. Over the past few years, the MUSC Committee has made an effort to identify and recognise individuals that have contributed to the club since its establishment in 1965 (and the first full season in the then VSF (now FFV) in 1966). Through this effort, a rich history has been unveiled, much of which has been documented on our website and can be read about in archived Ball and Banters. The committee has also sought to confirm the names of those whose contribution had previously been acknowledged through Life Memberships. What started as a small project has grown much larger and the list of Life Members has grown longer. Thanks to the generosity of a MUSC alumnus, the club is now in a position to further acknowledge Life Members (and those who have been at the club for ten or more years), through the display of the MUSC Honour Board in the club's social rooms. On Saturday 8 May, 2010 at 12:30 pm, a short announcement will be made followed by the unveiling of the Honour Board. All past and present members as well as their friends and family are encouraged to attend. The unveiling of the Honour Board coincides with the second home game of the year for the Men's Seniors and Reserves, who are taking on second placed Old Camberwell Grammar. |
