Coaching
Women's Reserves Coach
Monash University
Soccer Club is inviting applications from
suitable
candidates to coach the
Women's Reserves with a view of developing talent and building
on the performances of 2009. With a newly created Thirds team at the
club, the Reserves coach will have an additional squad to pick players
from in 2010.
The club's women's teams have a specially
vibrant team culture. They place a high emphasis
on teamwork, communication, encouragement, and leadership. The
successful
candidate will have a strong tactical and technical awareness as well
as
outstanding communication skills, a highly encouraging attitude and a
willingness to work together and co-ordinate with the Senior Coach, who
is
responsible for coaching the Women's State League 2 team.

Men’s Stallions (Over 21)
Monash University Soccer Club is seeking suitable applicants for the coaching position of one of its thirds teams.
The
position would suit an applicant looking to develop as a coach in an
environment that is not driven solely by on-field results. There are
excellent opportunities for the successful applicant to actively learn
from a highly experienced and qualified senior coaching team at the
club. The position is remunerated accordingly, plus extra financial
assistance is provided with attaining coaching accreditation. The club
expects the applicants to be enthusiastic, organised, have strong
communication skills and be able to develop players technically and
tactically.

Support Staff
Game-day manager (Saturday)
Monash University Soccer club is inviting applications for the position of Game-Day Manager for the 2010 season.
Successful candidate for the position will be paid the costs of
full playing membership for the season.
As game day manager you would be required to organise and manage each
Saturday Home fixture for the Men's Seniors and Reserves teams. Your
responsibilities will include liaising with the referees, University
staff, visiting club officials, and club members in order to ensure
that both seniors and reserves matches run successfully. You will also
be required to coordinate a small group of volunteers in order to run
the canteen, operate the BBQ, provide marshals, collect balls, as well
as complete any other tasks which come up during the day.
The successful applicant is required to be highly organised, reliable,
able to work to a timeline, and have good communication and diplomacy
skills. The position of Game-Day Manager is a very important position
in the club, as it effects not only the matches played, but also the
success of the club's revenue raising throughout the season.

Team manager (Saturday teams)
Monash University Soccer club is inviting applications for 2 positions of Team-Day Manager for the 2010 season.
Successful candidates for both positions will be paid the costs of full playing membership for the season. The two candidates will share the overall load and alternate the Saturdays they perform their management duties on.
As Team Manager you will be working closely with the Men's Senior
and Reserves coaches to provide logistical support for the home and
away Saturday fixtures. This includes preparing and laundering the
strips, ensuring the correct equipment is available for each match,
liaising with Referees and other match officials on game-day, providing consumables
(water-bottles, ice-packs, oranges, strapping tape), and packing up and
accounting for all equipment after each match. Your overall objective
is to remove all the administrative distractions to allow the coaches to concentrate fully on coaching their team.
A good Team Manager is a highly valuable and respected member of the
team staff and has the ability to greatly effect the morale of the team
they are supporting. Therefore the successful applicant ideally should
be able to communicate well with players, coaches, and match officials,
be highly organized, reliable, and have a genuine interest in the
well-being of the team.
