Support Staff
Game-day manager (Saturday)
Monash University Soccer club is inviting applications for the position of Game-Day Manager for the 2010 season.
As game day manager you would be required to organise and manage eachSaturday Home fixture for the Men's Seniors and Reserves teams. Yourresponsibilities will include liaising with the referees, Universitystaff, visiting club officials, and club members in order to ensurethat both seniors and reserves matches run successfully. You will alsobe required to coordinate a small group of volunteers in order to runthe canteen, operate the BBQ, provide marshals, collect balls, as wellas complete any other tasks which come up during the day.
The successful applicant is required to be highly organised, reliable,able to work to a timeline, and have good communication and diplomacyskills. The position of Game-Day Manager is a very important positionin the club, as it effects not only the matches played, but also thesuccess of the club's revenue raising throughout the season.

Team manager (Saturday teams)
Monash University Soccer club is inviting applications for the position of Saturday Team Manager for the 2010 season.
As Team Manager you will be working closely with the Men's Seniorand Reserves coaches to provide logistical support for the home andaway Saturday fixtures. This includes preparing and laundering thestrips, ensuring the correct equipment is available for each match,liaising with Referees and other match officials on game-day, providing consumables(water-bottles, ice-packs, oranges, strapping tape), and packing up andaccounting for all equipment after each match. Your overall objectiveis to remove all the administrative distractions to allow the coaches to concentrate fully on coaching their team.
A good Team Manager is a highly valuable and respected member of theteam staff and has the ability to greatly effect the morale of the teamthey are supporting. Therefore the successful applicant ideally shouldbe able to communicate well with players, coaches, and match officials,be highly organized, reliable, and have a genuine interest in thewell-being of the team.
