Monash University Soccer Club is introducing some changes
to its membership conditions in 2010. In particular, there will be a player
bond system in place, also known as Club Accreditation Points Scheme (CAPS).
Player bonds are about creating a system which encourages
players to participate in the running of the club. Too much work is being done
by too few and this scheme is designed to encourage all players help the club
operate.
Each player at the club is required to pay a $50 bond at the
start of the season (or March as part of the pre-season training costs).
After payment of the bond, the player is then allowed to
sign-up for a certain number of jobs. Each job has an amount of points
associated with it. Once the player has accumulated over 10 points, they are
then refunded their bond.
