The 2018 Shortlist

Luke HallLisa HardyAndrew PattersonNed RockeBrian Vasey

Nominated for the second year in a row - Luke has once again excelled in the events department - helping organise all the social functions of the year, as well as fulifilling his role as mens vice-president. From a committee perspective, his timeless reminders to complete tasks, ensured a smooth running of the club wherever possible.

A long time member of the club - Lisa has been amazing as the club canteen worker for the whole season. On top of that, she has also been nominated this year for the long term leadership role she has undertaken with the womens reserves team as both team manager and occasional assistant coach.

A list of club person of the year nominees simply wouldn't be complete without the inclusion of Patto. The go to man for all things equipment and admin related, Patto was the club secretary this season as well as team manager for the Saturday teams. While he also played for four of the five mens teams, (yes including the Colts), the majority of hard work he does is behind the scenes, and without him it is highly likely that many of our teams would've struggled to get on the pitch on a weekly basis! He also sorts sock clashes impeccably. Ned's work in the role of president would make him a worthy winner of the club person of the year. However this year Ned has also been tireless as the championship winning mens reserves coach, as well as helping out as a fill in coach for womens seniors and reserves, as well as the mens thirds and colts.

In his third stint as the club's senior mens coach, Vasey has earned his nomination this season for finally achieving a feat that has eluded 52 years worth of coaches, in winning the championship with the mens seniors. The dedicated hours of research, planning and tactical analysis have been second to none from a coaching perspective, and this hard work earns him a worthy nomination.
